Who will take it? Part 1 of 4

It has been long since I wrote about a true life story....so much has happened in so little time. My friends got married, Julius turned into something we dont know, I got a new place... but sadly no one responded to my plea about the gold fish. I guess I will have to surprise myself on the 25th of December and get myself one.
Ohh yes, I nearly forgot I`ve got a potential friend but for now let’s call him a colleague by the name of Aidan aka Kramer. Kramer is a man of many talents but the most outstanding one is his humour; the way he uses words is exceptionally funny.  One of the most hilarious comments I heard was when he was trying to spell a name for the client he went like this “mmhhh D for delta, U for ub40”..........really Eden!  Most of his famous lines can be found here: http://workingwithaden.wordpress.com/.
Jason M and Aidan

I read in the man magazine that grapefruit helps lose weight very quickly....mhhhh who doesn’t want to lose weight without working out? Time for gym and having to run on that treadmill is a tough way to work out.  So now I decided to find an easy way out of it. Last year this time I weighed between 70 and 80kg and two(2) months back I weighed 98kg – that’s why I need a grapefruit not a gym.
Aidan or rather Kramer weighs 101kg and also has the same theory as me about grapefruits. Which means we both want to lose weight quickly and fast and our solution was grapefruit. Little did we know?  So one of our seniors came up with a fun way for us to lose weight within two months. He introduced the modified version of the biggest looser to us and we bought it.

How it works:
  • We individually get a mentor who`ll coach us for the next coming two months (October and November.)
  • It’s up to individuals on how they do their training and what they eat.
  • Every Friday morning it’s called a weighing day....that’s where we get on the scale and check the progress. (This takes place in front of the employee some even made bets about who`s gonna take it)

Yes it sound interesting to you, if you were me then you`ll know the truth. Come lunch time in the kitchen people are warming up their creamy sweet smiling food and I`ve to open up my lunch box which has green stuff only, the only thing that is creamy its the salad dressing.  Kramer open his lunch box and I see four boiled eggs, he says that they contains lots proteins which will make him full – I think this guy is eating pie`s in his secret place....four eggs for lunch!!!!!

1st Friday has come and now it’s time for the weighing.....Take note of our initial weight before the competition, this is the 1st week of October:
Jason: 97.6Kg
Kramer: 101.3kg

to be continued...

Appriciate What You Have (Day 1 and Day 2)

I usually say that you Never Know What You Have Until It's Taken Away. Appreciate what you have, before time teaches you to appreciate what you had.

The car

I’ve continued to appreciate what I have and I’m doing it more than before.

Here is my story:

My car broke down two weeks ago and I have been without it since, that means I’m back to public transport. We all know how our public transport system works – it’s more like we need them more than they need us. (Okay, that is debatable)

On Monday I decided to wake up very early after a long time since I used a public transport to work. The reason was because I knew that its was going to take me a long time to get to work, since I have to take two taxis before I reach my destination, on that morning I had to honour my 1st alarm at 5:45 because usually I snooze it and the ones that follows at 6:00, 6:15 and 6:30 until I wake up at 6:45. (Don’t act surprise you know its difficult to wake up sometimes)

By 6:15 I was done with everything and ready to hit the road - but wait I’m forgetting something, what is it? I paused for a while, moving slowly next to the garage I then remembered that everyday before I start the car I  thank God for another day but this day it’s different anyway I started thanking Him as I walk along the street.

From the complex yard that is where I get a taxi. I step out of the boom gate immediately the taxi was waiting for me. Phew! God is great I smiled, and futhermore interesting was that the taxi was heading straight to my destination which means that I didn’t have to reroute to the second taxi - Now God is Awesome!!! Before I knew it I was at work before 7am.

It was my first time to arrive at work this time (except the second day after signing the contract trying to make a good impression) nonetheless I was the first person to arrive at our department - yeaahhhh. That sounds good but the sad part was that I had to switch on the lights (like I know where the switches are, I always find the lights on) and also switch on the aircon.  The place was very strange without the sounds of keyboards and all kinds of funny ringtones but I got an early start.

In summary my day 2 (two) was a little bit different from day one since I miscalculated the taxi on the first day. I woke up late, had to call someone from work to come and fetch me up from the taxi rank which then made me to arrived at work extremely late.

And now I appreciate my car that takes me from point A to B everyday. That goes to every resource that I have, it doesn’t matter how small or big it is Appreciate it before time makes you to appreciate it even more

Above all: give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.  Psalm 136

Love you all.

The kitchen Story

I went to the kitchen as usual around 4pm to make myself a cup of coffee before I knock off at 5pm. There minding my own business making coffee.

I noticed that she ( kitchen lady) is really staring at me but I ignored her and  continued  making coffee until I cant help it any-more. This is
how the conversation went:

Myself: Excuse me, Is there something wrong?
Kitchen Lady:  No Bhuti, I`m just wondering, Do you have children?
Myself: (Surprised )Nope, I don’t have - why do you ask?
Kitchen Lady: Nah, Just asking - its nothing.
Myself: (With a serious face and look) - Nooo, tell me what is it?
Kitchen Lady:  The thing is that if you had children boys especially , Its more likely that the woman will be chasing them for their charm and a good smile just like their father.
Myself: (Shocked) Eish, Thank you - (I stormed out of the kitchen)

The End!

I guess that was a compliment but an indirect one. hahahahah
